Last Defense Academy? It's really an in abstract. It's built like one but there's only 15 of us and it's not like we actually had classes.

We were selected for the task of defending humanity from invaders because of our unique ability to use hemoanima.

worth noting that it's just me. not how magic works in our world generally cept in broad strokes. long story short is that being a god is also a little bit metaphorical. meaning that your most famous legends start to effect your reality. so in my case I'm the genesis of self-sacrifice within my pantheon. gave up my leg to create the land. died once to become the sun. et cetera

so when I want to pull off some cool shit, I still need to give up part of myself

normally not a huge deal when you're fully divine since I can just regenerate it or make a new solution to what's missing but

in a human body at the moment so can't exactly do that

That's interesting! I suppose it makes sense that your powers as a god would stem from from how you're remembered. After all, in a way, belief is what makes a god a god in the first place. Thank you for sharing that with me, though to be honest, I'm a little jealous that you used to be able to remove parts of yourself with little consequence.
