I wouldn't say concerned. At the end of the day, I don't want to force someone into reciprocating my feelings! If Dirk is interested in someone else I'd be disappointed but I'd understand.

I can tell you that with Dirk's obsession with justice and protecting others, his initial response would be "disappointment."

However, he isn't somebody who is accustomed to others taking drastic measures as a symbol of "making a move" so to say.

Usually, he is the one to do something intense as a sign of courtship, which is one reason why he decapitated himself and sent his head to his previous lover.

Considering his bogus circumstances, he hasn't been properly romanced. Well, Roxy was rather forward with him and always has been, and while Dirk's society doesn't really have a term for various sexualities anymore, he is only interested in other men even if he doesn't want to put a label on it.

Things never advanced with he and Roxy because she is a girl. As far as Jake goes, Dirk was the one to make most of the moves. Jake was far too timid to do anything in response.
